STRATEGY CAMP- July 15th – July 19th 1pm – 4pm Age: 10-15 years old
YWCA Summer Basketball Camps aim to fulfil the above statement. We will also teach you how to use basketball skills to execute different offensive and defensive strategies.
OUR CAMP HEAD COACH: NIMA NAZEMI FIBA CERTIFIED COACH Nima has played basketball professionally, earning 2 gold and 3 silver medals. He was nominated to join The Iranian National University Camp in 2005. After retirement as an athlete due to an injury, he obtained his International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Coaching Certificate in 2006 and began to train and coach athletes in Canada, Australia and Iran. Nima is also a certified personal trainer which makes him able to prepare athletes physically in order to improve their athletic performance.
Our FIBA certified basketball coach starts each day with a ‘skill of the day’ focusing on foot work, passing, shooting, dribbling or rebounding. After this camp, you will see how your child can perform different basketball skills, move effectively and score baskets more efficiently. This camp is aiming at teaching participants how to execute offensive and defensive strategies. Lessons are taught by explaining and demonstrating different game situations and executing game strategies accordingly. Players are expected to work as a team and understand the importance of strategy to play the game at a higher level.
